AI Analysis lets you get AI-generated insights into a monitoring session report. Unlike the AI Assistant for Load Test Reports, this feature does not use prompts. Once you start the analysis, the AI reviews the session data and returns a structured report automatically.
Prerequisites
- A completed monitoring session with a generated report.
- The AI Data Analysis account setting turned on. A Dotcom-Monitor account Administrator must enable this setting before the AI Assistant becomes available on any report. For activation steps, see AI Data Analysis Settings.
Starting AI-powered Analysis
Open a Waterfall Chart report for the monitoring session you want to analyze, select the AI Analysis tab, accept the AI Data Processing Consent notice, then select Start AI Analysis.
AI Assistant analyzes your monitoring session data, including the request waterfall (DNS, connect, SSL, first byte, and download timing), status codes, and error messages, and returns insights organized into the following categories, as applicable:
- Target Status Verdict — Whether the monitored target is fully down, partially degraded, or functioning normally, and an estimate of how the issue likely affects real users.
- Error Analysis — For each error found: the error type, the failing resource URL, the likely root cause, and the waterfall evidence supporting that conclusion (for example, DNS resolved but no response bytes were received before timeout).
- Corrective Actions — Specific, actionable next steps based on the observed behavior, such as checking server-side logs at a specific timestamp, reviewing upstream dependencies, or inspecting connection handling.
- Monitoring Configuration Notes — Suggestions related to the monitor’s own configuration, such as whether the timeout threshold matches the application’s expected response time.
