To ensure load test accuracy and prevent client-side errors from having an impact on the test results, the test device must be validated.

When the device tasks are set, LoadView executes the single-user test run considering system and user behavior delays for the device. The single-session duration (Session Duration) and resources required to execute the device tasks are also calculated upon validation.

You can find the validation results status on the Load Test Setup page, in the Device section.

If any validation errors were detected, click View Details and check the Errors tab of the Performance Report. Fix the errors if possible before the test starts.

Validation with Unique Context Parameters

By default, to run validation the system uses the context parameters with the initial values that were specified upon configuring a test device. However, you can specify one-time unique values of the context parameters to validate the device. This setting does not affect the test scenario and the test will be executed with the values provided in the uploaded CSV file.

If you need to validate the device with unique context parameters, run validation manually from within the Load Test Setup page (the Validate button in the Device section) and enter parameter values to be used in the validation process.

Note that after the validation process is completed, the context parameters that you specified for load test device validation will be reset to default. Thus, to re-run validation with unique parameter values, specify new values for the context parameters in the validation settings.
