MetricsView Collector app (aka, MV-Agent) is an application installed and run locally on your host, gathering statistical data and sending it to Dotcom-Monitor.

To download the application, go to the Manage section on the left-side menu bar, select MetricsView Collectors. On the MetricsView Collectors screen, click Download Collector. Once you have downloaded the collector application, run the installer on the machine you wish to use as your collector agent and follow recommendations of the installation wizard.

Once you have installed the app on the target host:

  1. On the target host, in the MetricsView Agent Registrator pop-up, enter your Dotcom-Monitor username and password in order to link this collector to your account.
  2. Select an existing Collector from the MetricsView Collectors list and click Continue. Registration will take a few minutes.
  3. If successful, click Close in the corresponding dialog Setup Successful.

This collector will be able to monitor any performance counters available on this machine, as well as any additional performance counters of other machines on this network that the service has access to.
