  • Device Cached; (a Device’s host URL DNS is cached after propagation to root DNS with first monitoring instance, the process a new user with a new computer at a new company would experience)
  • Non-Cached; (ServerView only), a fresh look-up for each instance of monitoring DNS propagating to the root DNS
  • TTL Cached; (“User Experience” “DNS is cached monitoring”, the process online users experience after their first visit to a website)
  • External DNS Server; (the DNS server target is specified by the user, not automated by the DNS process)

DNS Server Monitoring has several new custom options, including: Record Types (A, AAAA, NS, CNAME, SOA, TXT, MX, PTR, SPF), Recursion Desired Flag (Yes, No), Verify Response (All Servers, First Server), Servers Timeout Filter, Expected Answer, Expected Authority, Expected Additional, DNS Resolve Modes (Device Cached, Non-cached, TTL Cached, External DNS server). Clicking “Run Now” pushes an instant test of a specific Device. Run Now tests from all enabled monitoring location agents. The test will display as an additional test within reporting on that Device. Within UserView videos of the test from all monitoring agent locations will be available within an online report; USER PATH = Device > Actions > Run Now

Added Features

Sorting of Comments by the Start Date or End Date of the Comment, USER PATH = Configure > Comment Log > Start Date column / End Date column

Clicking “Edit in EveryStep” allows for editing of a UserView script by downloading it and opening the EveryStep Scripting Tool ; USER PATH = click a Device > open the Device’s list of Tasks > click the task Action > click “Edit in EveryStep” link

Added Error Chart to Waterfall report summary in BrowserView and UserView; USER PATH = BrowserView > Device ABC > Actions > input report selection criteria, click Report > Submit > click left side Waterfall chart icon (red/yellow/blue) > click Errors tab

Added Change select criteria to summary reports in ServerView, BrowserView, and UserView.
