Installation and logging in

To begin using EveryStep Scripting Tool you must first download the software here. Make sure that you have proper admin privileges to install the software.

Once you have the software installed, the first time you run EveryStep you will be prompted to use the Windows Secondary Logon Service.  We recommend you set up a valid secondary user account on your computer dedicated to this tool because it will be less likely to interfere with your browsing experience. This is because every time the scripting tool runs a script it first clears the browser cache for the user that is logged in. This ensures that no elements are cached and everything must be downloaded from the servers to record a valid page load result.

Once you have configured the Secondary Logon account, you can start the application and create your first script.

Here is a video tutorial to help you get started with EveryStep Scripting Tool.

To record a script for server uptime monitoring using an HTTP/S (GET/POST) request process, select the HTTP/S scripting mode in the Start Recording a Script window. Generally, it is recommended to contact support for creating a script in the HTTP/S scripting mode due to the complexity of the task.
