Test Incoming Server

Set up SMTP to send emails from one of our external monitoring locations, through a third-party SMTP email server, and confirm receipt through your POP3/IMAP server to ensure our external monitoring location receive emails from the SMTP server.

Test ActiveSync

The ActiveSync protocol can also perform round-trip email monitoring. ActiveSync can test the ability to send an email from one of our monitoring locations and receive an email from the server by that remote device. The key difference between the ActiveSync and standard round-trip process is that the round-trip method allows you to view email move across multiple servers using a third-party email provider. With ActiveSync, your email resides on a single server.
