Dotcom-Monitor Service Issue

January 22nd around 11:30 PM dotcom-monitor encountered issue with DNS servers misconfiguration. DNS servers had to be reconfigured to address the problem. The issue resulted in unexpected sporadic monitoring between 11:30 PM and 12:20 AM.  The root cause has been identified and changes put in place to prevent this issue from happening again

Wednesday 1/18/2017 around 4PM CST Dotcom-Monitor started to experience packet loss with upstream provider.  This caused some delay in monitoring from certain locations, as server couldn’t process all requests coming in at the regular rate.  Around 4:45 CST we failed-over to secondary link and service was restored completely by 5:00PM CST.
