Facebook Website Speed Test from Around the World [Infographic]

We test Facebook website speed and page load time from around the world to see how Facebook handles their massive amounts of web traffic.

System Status Update: DNS Error Issue | Zerigo DNS services

Starting at around 06:00 AM CST, July 23, 2012 Dotcom-Monitor began to detect a higher than usual number of DNS-related errors. The errors were sporadic and happening in bursts every couple of hours.

We are still looking for a root cause, but we believe issue started with a DDoS on Zerigo DNS services. We have a large number of our clients using Zerigo for their DNS hosting. Zerigo took their servers down due to the DDoS DNS this morning.

Researching DNS issue reports

Dotcom-Monitor is researching internal and external systems for clarification regarding reported DNS and other issues. We will update with additional details today.

Dotcom-Monitor ran website server speed tests and monitored the most popular media site servers covering Euro 2012 from June 8 – June 15, which enabled us to validate how the performance of these media website servers changed and how well the tech teams had prepared for a surge in website traffic due to the Euro 2012 event.
